We Cover all Angles
Our tree pruning service experts take everything into account before cutting – including:
- Elevation – Pruning the lower canopy to an approximate height of 12-14 feet (or specific depending on location and species)
- Thinning – Pruning to remove crossing and conflicting branches in the lower third of the canopy
- Deadwood – Pruning to remove deadwood 2 inches in diameter and larger
- Broken hanging – Pruning to remove all broken/hanging limbs throughout the canopy
Beyond Pruning
There’s nothing our tree service experts can’t handle, including:
Tree removal & Stump Grinding:
Typically, the tree will be cut as close to ground level as possible. In most cases trees will be climbed or a lift used to systematically remove trees in pieces to avoid damage to other trees, landscape and structures.
Cabling and bracing:
The installation of a cable system (usually a static system made from steel cables) to help co-dominant trees avoid splitting. Bracing is typically used when a co-dominant tree has already begun to split. Cabling can be done by itself but bracing must be done in conjunction with cabling.
Lightning Protection Systems (LPS):
Copper cables are installed from the very tip of the tree, down the trunk, and continue into the ground for several feet away from the tree. The cable is kept a couple of inches away from the tree via special nails. This will allow a lightning strike to follow the copper rather than the tree, preserving high-value trees from lightning damage
Tree Health Care:
There are numerous services that we perform, all are designed to encourage root growth and tree vitality.
Fertilization packages:
Designed to generate new root growth.
Pest control:
Sprays and injections designed to help trees defend themselves from insect infestations.
Root collar excavations:
Using compressed air, we remove excess soil from around the tree’s basal area and help alleviate compaction.
Risk Assessment:
We provide visual tree assessment to see if a tree might be a safety hazard.
We also provide resistograph tests where machines are used to determine if a tree may be hollowed or decayed and thus require removal.
